Reexamining the History of Articulating Valourized Identity of the Soldiers’ in Sri Lanka Army

Abstract

Ranaviruwo (War hero) identity articulation trajectory is significantly informed by the changes in the social context. Tamil rebellion groups started to fight against a common goal “a separate state of Tamil Eelam in the north and east of Sri Lanka”, and among the militant groups, Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) appeared most virulent in nature The Sri Lanka Army represented the military executions under different ruling parties as the former government’s decision on bring the military solution to this political turmoil. This research paper is to examine the soldier’s identity formation process throughout different phases of viagrageneriquefr24.com the Eelam war.
