Distance Education in Palliative Care: an experience with online examinations in Sub Saharan Africa

 Abstract

Objective: To explore the feasibility of conducting online examinations in geographically dispersed countries in Sub Saharan Africa.

Method: Using Moodle Platform, 69 legible students from 11 Sub Saharan African Countries studying for the Bachelor of Science Degree in Palliative at the Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care in Africa, were administered semester one examinations through internet.

LAND USE CHANGE IN UPPER RIVER KIBWEZI RIPARIAN ECOSYSTEM FROM 1985 T0 2015

 

ABSTRACT

The Kibwezi river watershed and riparian areas is among the most important riparian ecosystem for the conservation of flora and fauna in the Southern Kenyan rangeland which is threatened by unsustainable anthropogenic activities. The study aim was to determine the land use change in the upper riparian and watershed of river Kibwezi from 1985 to 2015.

The Phenomenon Transcendentalism and Its Impact on American and Other Literatures

 

Abstract

Transcendentalism like any other movement or thought did not have any spontaneous birth and growth; rather its rise, growth and spread had been gradual and graceful as a reaction to the then prevailing ideologies which kept over emphasizing on rationalism. Though this movement took its inception as a religious reaction but its influence penetrated very soon in every gender not only of American but also European literatures. Some aspects of this movement related to its inception and impact are succinctly highlighted in this research.
