Adequacy of Information and Communication Technology Resources for Office Technology and Management Programme In Delta State Polytechnics ijsac Sat, 09/05/2020 - 20:03

Abstract

The study focused on the assessment of the adequacy of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) resources for Office Technology and Management (OTM) programme in Delta State polytechnics. Thirty-five OTM lecturers and three hundred National Diploma students comprised the population. The entire population was used as the sample for the study hence an intact population. The instrument used was a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation, while the null hypothesis was tested using t-test statistics. The findings revealed that available ICT resources such as e-mail are fairly adequate; computer, uninterrupted power supply, local area networking and ICT support personnel were somewhat adequate while other items listed as available such as projector, teleconferencing, cybercafé, among others, were rated inadequate. The findings also revealed that, there was no significant difference between the mean responses of lecturers and students on ICT resources available for OTM programme. It was recommended, among others, that ICT resources needed for OTM programme should be adequately provided to ensure effective implementation of OTM programme in the polytechnics.

Abstract

Ghazal can be the most stable form of Persian poetry which its fluency, indicating emotions and feelings in the poet and the presence of important concepts such as love and mysticism can be the causes of its immortality. Different types and themes of lyrical literature as well as components of Romanticism are significant in the contemporary Persian Ghazal. In the present study, Persian Ghazal and its relationship with the lyrical genre and Romanticist Movement are investigated. Persian lyrical literature in the contemporary Ghazal got closed for some decades to the basics of Romanticist Movement. Can such closeness and homology be the effect of world literature and Romanticism? What was the nature of Persian poetry and lyrical genre in Iran?

Abstract

There have been persistent complaints on the declining standards of primary education in Kenya in recent times. The Ministry of Education through Quality Assurance and Standard Department have been at the forefront in addressing issues of quality in basic education. This paper describes the challenges that influence effective quality assurance and standards in curriculum implementation in selected secondary schools in Baringo North Sub County, Kenya. The target respondents for the research were teachers. The sample size for the research comprised of 103 teachers from 34 public primary schools. The respondents were selected through stratified random sampling method. The instruments used to collect data comprised of; questionnaire and interview guide. Quantitative Data collected was analysed using descriptive statistics while qualitative data collected was analysed using thematic content analysis. The study established that teacher harassment, lack of adequate instructional materials, poor planning, and irregular visits were some of the challenges that affected delivery of quality assurance and standard process. The paper concludes that various challenges impede quality assurance and standards process in primary schools. It is recommended that all stakeholders to work together by Ministry of Education providing required support to ensure curriculum is implemented well.

ABSTRACT

The present study was carried out from 400 samples removed from the lines in commercial processing plants and slaughterhouses at different stages of CCPs such as slaughtering, flaying, empting interior, washing and colding for raw meat, selecting raw ingredients, spicing, bagging, cooking, colding and rebagging for roast beef, selecting raw ingredients such as raw meat ,raw materials and spices, blending, fermenting, making dry and bagging for sausages fermentive meat at different slaughterhouses and plants during 2009:10 to report the effect of processing steps in an effective HACCP program on microbial populations ,including Salmonella in Tehran . Salmonella was isolated from samples of chicken ,beef, veal, mutton, roast beef and sausages fermentive meat collected at slaughterhouses and plants. The isolates were characterized by biochemical reactions and serotyping. Eighty isolates of Salmonella were obtained with an overall prevalence of 20%. Seventy percent of strains (56 cases of 80 samples )were isolated in CCP2 and 30% of strains (24 cases of 80 samples ) were isolated in CCP1.During one year of HACCP implementation in this study to control Salmonella contamination overall bacterial populations decreased due to processing .In this study flaying and empting interior stages were the most important points of contamination (CCP2).

However, the national incidence of poultry product contamination with Salmonella has declined since adoption of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) food safety program .Further reductions in carcasses contamination may require other approaches such as the adaptation of on-farm pathogen reduction strategies. This study successfully determined in processing Salmonella population, thus providing important information that can aid in developing new and effective control strategies for reducing the level and incidence of Salmonella contamination of meats in processing plants.

ABSTRACT

Pakistan's political crises continue to deepen. The country is in the midst of crises that redound negatively to itself and the world. These crises accrue largely from the absence of democracy on Pakistan. Be it the recent ouster of its Prime Minister, Yusuf Raza Gilani, or the various political convolutions of the state of Pakistan since its inception and founding, the cause(s) can be attributed to the lack of democracy i n Pakistan. This in turn is predicated upon the nature and ideological premise of Pakistan, state formation and state society relations. The question is: What accounts for Pakistan's lack of democracy and the attendant political crises and instability? And given the historical record and its current existential crisis, is there hope for a salubrious democratic future for the country?

ABSTRACT

An operator B is a commutant of the unbounded Self-adjoint operator with simple spectra F if BF⊆FB. The properties of the commutant are determined by those of the operator F . In this article, we show that the spectrum of these commutants is a subset of the real number set. We also establish the effect of the spectral properties of the unbounded Self-adjoint operators with simple spectra to the spectrum of its commutant. Finally, we show that the spectral measure of the unbounded Self-adjoint operator with simple spectra is a scalar multiple of that of its commutant.

ABSTRACT

This paper aims to appraise the literature on emotional labor in the health-care sector and the remuneration and expenditure of such concert for together the career and the patient. The aim is to expand a new health care initiative of emotional labor that has suggestions for health-care management in expressions of guiding principle and education as well as for potential research in this perspective. This discriminates between types of emotional disagreement to which emotional labor-inducing events in health-care settings might guide. The negative and positive consequences, explicit to health-care situations, of emotional labor presentation are also delineated. Emotional labor ought to be properly acknowledged as a key ability in assisting the patient expedition, with emotional skills being qualified in innovative ways outside the official classroom setting. Abstract

Several previous studies have assessed the influence of awareness and Trust on behaviour intention to use ICT. However, studies that have assessed the mediation role of trust in the relationship between awareness and behaviour intention to use ICT most especially in the field of agriculture are limited. This study aimed at assessing the mediating role of trust on the influence of awareness on young farmers’ intention to use ICT for accessing agriculture market information. Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was used for statistical analysis. The assessment was done on 403 valid responses that were collected from a crossectional survey. The result revealed a partial mediating effect of trust on the relationship between awareness and behaviour intention, a significant positive relationship between awareness and trust, awareness and behaviour intention and trust and behaviour intention. It is important to understand the antecedent of behaviour intention and how they are interrelated for sustainable integration of ICT in the agriculture sector.

Abstract

Chief justice (Ghazi-al-Ghozzat) is a rank in the hierarchy of the Islamic Justice System which was the highest rank after the king. The history of shaping this position in Islamic world refers to Abbasid Era. A chief judge, as the chief of Islamic Justice Organization, supervised the justice system as well as dismissing and appointing Judges. In the justice system of the Seljuk Era, as previous eras, the chief justice was at the top of the hierarchy of the justice system after the king. However, in the Seljuk Era, this position encountered some changes and its authority reduced to some extent. The present article is to explain the place of this position in the structure of justice system and the upheavals which this position had been encountered by investigating the historical materials of the Seljuk Era.
