THE FIFTH DISCIPLINE AND TEACHERS COMPETENCE ijsac Mon, 03/07/2022 - 20:12

ABSTRACT

This study aims to identify the practice of the learning organization in improving teachers competence. The learning organization run as a guideline for teachers in order to enhance the teachers' spirit in learning. The model used in this learning organization is the Fifth Discipline. It is consist of personal skills, mental models, shared vision, team learning, and system thinking. The Fifth Discipline was developed as a model that can provide a new input for the teachers so that they can learning continue to improve their competency. The method used in this study was mixed methode between quantitative and qualitative methods. This study was conducted at the Junior High School district Sidenreng Rappang South Sulawesi with a total of 500 teachers as samples. The findings of the analysis performed by using SPSS 18.0 indicates that there is a significant correlation (r = .341, p <.05) between the practice of the learning organization and the teachers competency. This analysis indicates that the null hypothesis (Ho) in this study was rejected. This shows that the independent variables of learning organization (X) and the dependent variable of teachers competency (Y) has a positive relationship to improve teacher competence at the Junior High School district Sidenreng Rappang South Sulawesi Indonesia.

Malaysia invests a large share of national income in education because the Government wants to graduate to be K-workers order to fulfill the requirements of a globalized world in 2020. The Government is committed to expedite the academic achievement, competence, skills and intends to strengthen public higher education institutions and the private sector in order to produce quality human capital to meet demands the employment market. Towards achieving this goal the government to improve and enhance the status of Research University by increasing the number of research articles produced University. The Government create efforts to improve the quality through training to produce skilled labor force by providing the 19 types of additional assistance to avail students, training institutions, as well as giving more priorities to education to create a pool K-workers and produce skills employee to change the industrialized countries

Abstract

In a quest to promoting the development of entrepreneurship and small businesses in Nigeria, government in 2006 approved the total commitment of higher institutions in providing entrepreneurship education to Nigerian students by making entrepreneurship a compulsory course for all students irrespective of their disciplines. This paper examined the role of higher institutions in promoting entrepreneurship and small business in Nigeria. A critical review of entrepreneurship education in Nigeria reveals that the programme has helped in instilling and reviving entrepreneurial spirits in the minds of Nigerians, thereby encouraging and providing individuals with career options, self-sustenance, and self-reliance. This paper has also highlighted the challenges and concerns that threaten the effectiveness of entrepreneurship education in Nigeria. The paper recommends that entrepreneurship education should be introduced at the primary and secondary levels of the Nigerian educational sector as this will further boost the urge and drive for entrepreneurial practice and career option.

Abstract

We have to master six propositions and judges, which are connected each other tightly, in the process of understanding, interpreting and answering the question of what is being properly. They are :1) Being is the representative of all converted forms of the verb of be, and further the representative of all English words; 2) words are the representative of languages; 3) languages are one of the main ways in materializing the human thinking and its results, that is, languages are one of the main ways of expressing the processes of human thinking and its results; 4) the processes of human thinking is the process of subjective disposition on objects, the results of human thinking are the results of human subjective dispositions on objects; 5) subjective dispositions are the processes of humans dispositions on objects，which include the results of human subjective dispositions previously, from multi-aspects, multi-strata, multi-disciplines, in human minds, and the subjective dispositions are the contents of the activities of human minds; 6) the true function and aim of raising the question of what is being continually from ancient Greece to now by Occidental scholars is that they want to know what is subjective dispositions and the relationship between subjective dispositions and their linguistic expressions.

Abstract

It is discussed that the Brazilian teacher education needs to be reformulated due to the world has changed and also the school clientele. According to a technological world and the increasing widespread use of media, the proposal, which will be described here, emerged. Through the movie I, Frankenstein (2014), a media rereading of the book has been proposed. It is a fact that the cinema is a tool that mobilizes mental schemes and one of its characteristics is to appropriate a spontaneous pleasure. Consequently, the project aimed at develops proposals that the undergraduate students could use with their future students in the classroom. Then, the project gathered media, literature and technology, demonstrating that the cross-cutting themes can be significantly developed, considering the reality of the students' lives.

Abstract

Lands are among the most productive ecosystems across the globe. Although most families in the Sub Saharan Africa rely on wetlands for their livelihood, these ecosystems have been undergoing unknown transformations that threaten their sustainability. In Yala Wetlands of Western Kenya, about 2, 88 hectares of the original ecosystem have been lost especially to human activities. This paper analyses the effects of spatiotemporal characteristics of population on Land Cover and Land Use (LCLU) changes in Yala wetlands of Western Kenya. Geographic Information systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing were employed to achieve this objective, LANDSAT ETM for 1990, 2000, 2010 and 2014 satellite images were used. Image analysis was done in Arc GIS 10.1 and ERDAS 9.3 software packages. Analysis revealed that size of the wetland had reduced by 33 % over the 25 year period, and agricultural land had increased by over 65%. There was also an increase in population at 65% between 1989 and 2009. Inferential statistics revealed that there are significant spatial and temporal changes in land cover types due to land use changes, and that spatiotemporal characteristics of population growth in the study area have significant effect on land use land cover changes in the Yala wetland. It is concluded that human interference has led to degradation and overexploitation of Yala wetland. The study recommends that Sustainable measures such as development of the tourism and papyrus industry, aquaculture practice and better policy implementation should be undertaken to ensure its resources are used sustainably and promote coexistence with the growing human population.
